William Ngwa, FNP-BC, PMHNP Family Medicine & Psychiatry | Co-Founder
William Ngwa, MSN, FNP-BC, PMHNP-BC is a dual-certified Nurse Practitioner in Family Medicine and Psychiatric–Mental Health, uniquely qualified to deliver comprehensive, integrated care that addresses both physical and behavioral health needs. His clinical foundation is built on sixteen years of healthcare experience, progressing from bedside nursing to advanced practice across psychiatric, medical-surgical, primary care, and correctional health settings.
William proudly served as a Medical-Surgical Nurse in the U.S. Army Reserve, where he provided skilled clinical care, triage, and multidisciplinary medical support in high-acuity, structured environments. His military service has strengthened his leadership, clinical judgment, and ability to perform under pressure, skills that directly enhance the care he provides to civilian patients.
As a Nurse Practitioner, William’s dual certification allows him to seamlessly manage chronic medical conditions, mental health disorders, opioid use disorder (OUD), and psychiatric medication management within a single, coordinated treatment plan. He is deeply committed to holistic, patient-centered care, recognizing the strong connection between mental health, chronic illness, weight management, and overall well-being. Through a collaborative, team-based approach, he helps patients overcome medical and behavioral barriers that often make chronic disease management and weight loss more challenging.
As Co-Founder of MyCare Medical Associates, William plays a pivotal role in delivering coordinated, evidence-based medical and psychiatric care, particularly for individuals with complex conditions requiring integrated physical and mental health support. His practice philosophy is grounded in compassion, clinical excellence, and patient empowerment, ensuring care that is thorough, respectful, and focused on long-term health outcomes.
